Shasta Golf Club is a very exclusive private club on the California side of the
California / Oregon border. Most of our members are also members of other private country clubs from around the
world, and belong to SGC because our club offers 24/7 reciprocal golf
services
to all of our members, toll-free! As a result, SGC members have
access to private country clubs world-wide at the touch of a button on
their cell phone! |

|
Most Shasta Golf Club members live out of the area most of the year due to
the heavy snowfall each winter. The club is therefore closed from
December 15 through April 15 each year. New applicants for
membership must be referred by an existing member, or must be a member
of another private country club. The club arranges play for its
members at private clubs world-wide that honor reciprocal play using a highly efficient 24/7 toll-free
system. |

Several other fine golf resorts reside at the foot of Mount Shasta, an extinct
volcano that has erupted an average of every 600 years for the last
10,000, and last erupted around 1680 A.D. Notice the use of crushed
lava rock from Mount Shasta in the sand traps. Many of our members enjoy
the tremendous fishing offered by the local rivers and lakes as much as they
enjoy the golf. |

Mt. Shasta is one of only three mountains
in the world over 12,000 feet in altitude that rise from a relatively flat plain to
their grandiose height and can be seen for hundreds of miles from all
directions.
The other two are Mt. Fuji in Japan and Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Whether a member
travels from his course only a few states away to visit Shasta Golf Club, or travels from Japan,
Europe, or Australia, the renowned natural wonder of Mount Shasta
mystifies and intrigues golfers from all parts of the globe. |
